We are opportunist smart phone photographers, relying on luck rather than judgement for our photos. Hopefully they provide a ‘visual description’ of a specific moment, even if the image quality is low it can convey what a given experience was like at the time. Unfortunately, we often forget to take any photos, as we are too busy enjoying the climbing!
